LA 9 (Per. 1 &4) Students have concluded their mid-year reading comprehension assessments and their results will be shared on IEP progress reports. We have concluded our Unit on "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time and today we began "Things Fall Apart." This novel ties in with the 9th grade studies in in World History class on Africa. You can find the introductory slideshow here: Things Fall Apart Slideshow This will be referenced on the Unit test and provides important background on the novel. We will begin reading Chapter 1 Tuesday 1/10. LA 10-12 (Per. 6) Students have concluded their mid-year reading comprehension assessments and their results will be shared on IEP progress reports. We have concluded out "The Great Gatsby" unit and today began "Of Mice and Men." This novel ties in nicely with 11th grade American History studies about the Great Depression. We are currently reading Ch. 1 and students received their first set of vocabulary words. Reading/Writing Lab and Learning Strategies Students are busy getting in all of their work before semester end and studying for finals next week. Reminder: Quarter 2 GPA graphs are due next Tuesday 1/17.
